Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao greets U.N.-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan in Beijing.<br/> <br />Following his trip to Russia, Annan is on a two-day visit to China designed to shore up support for his peace mission in Syria.<br/> <br />Both Russia and China had previously used their vetoes to shield Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from U.N. Security Council condemnation.<br/> <br />Annan told Wen that Syria has accepted a six-point peace proposal calling for a cease-fire, humanitarian aid, and political dialogue.<br/> <br />Annan said China has pledged support for the process.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) JOINT ENVOY OF THE UNITED NATIONS AND THE ARAB LEAGUE KOFI ANNAN SAYING:<br/> <br />"They have offered me their full support. They're going to work with me and the other members of the council to ensure that the six-point plan is implemented.
