This video compares two fluid motion estimations obtained for the same image sequence with different approaches:<br />- correlations (up), with 32x32 pixel windows and 50% overlay;<br />- wavelet-based optic flow (bottom), at full resolution.<br />The input sequence consists in 3072 experimental PIV images of 1024x1024 pixel representing the classical case of cylinder wake at Reynolds=3900.<br />Displayed area corresponds to the the near-wake.<br />Optic flow (bottom) enables here a much finer estimation of apparent motion.<br />More information on http://www.irisa.fr/fluminance/team/Pierre.Derian.html
