The eastern German city of Leipzig is allowing anyone who owns a car to use public transport for free until Friday, in a bid to get more people off the roads.<br /><br />The four-day campaign, called 'Down With Petrol Insanity' is the first of its kind in the country.<br /><br />It was launched a week after petrol prices in Germany hit a record high of 1.70 euros per litre.<br />http://www.euronews.net/
