It's the way of musician Allison Crowe to do things simply. Purely.

Almost all of her recordings are performances captured live-on-stage, or live-in-the-studio.

In 2012, Crowe is engaged in a series of exciting projects. This Spring she performs "Hallelujah" live-on-stage with Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet for the World Premiere of "The Doorway -- Scenes from Leonard Cohen", choreographed by Jorden Morris. Next, she's Music Director of "Newfoundland Vinyl" at this Summer's Gros Morne Theatre Festival. This show is followed by a video documentary, live album, a dramatic film, and, then, a return to the concert stage come Fall/Winter.

Before these seasons unfurl, here's Allison Crowe at home, playing and singing "Darling Be Home Soon", one of numerous beauties composed by the wonderful John Sebastian for the Lovin' Spoonful.

For those of us who "believe in the magic of a young girl's soul; Believe in the magic of rock and roll; Believe in the magic that can set you free..."
