Egyptians out in force in Cairo's Tahrir Square.<br/> <br />They're here Friday to say no to the "feloul," remnants of the regime they toppled last year.<br/> <br />As the country gears up for a presidential election to replace ousted President Hosni Mubarak, many are angry that his vice president has joined the race.<br/> <br />Omar Suleiman the former intelligence chief who had a direct role in efforts to quell the January uprising, announced he would run for the top post last week.<br/> <br />Former Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq is also making a presidential bid.<br/> <br />The Muslim Brotherhood and Salafis rallied demonstrators in the square Friday against what both Islamists and secular forces view as a threat to reform.<br/> <br />Egypt's new Islamist-dominated parliament also passed a bill that would ban those who served in top posts under Mubarak from political life for 10 years.<br/> <br />The ban would block both Shafiq and Suleiman from running in the May elections, but is unlikely to be approved by the ruling military council.<br/> <br />Lindsey Parietti, Reuters
