Mount Etna has erupted for the sixth time this year.<br /><br />The latest activity, at the 3,300 metre mountain on the Italian island of Sicily, sent lava and plumes of smoke into the air <br /><br />The eruption created a new crater in the volcano's southeast side, but the airport at nearby Catania is still open.<br /><br />Some 25 percent of Sicily's population live on Etna's slopes.<br />http://www.euronews.net/
