STORY: The Queen of Soul gave a roaring rendition of her signature hit, "Respect" at the TV Land Awards in New York City.<br/> <br />The annual show, more commonly the meeting point for cast reunions of "Welcome Back, Kotter" and "The Love Boat," hosted a special performance by Aretha Franklin for its 10th anniversary.<br/> <br />After her performance, Franklin was given the TV Land Icon Award by singer John Legend.<br/> <br />"Thank you for sharing your incomparable voice with the world," Legend said.<br/> <br />"It is my honor to share this stage with you and present the TV Land Icon Award to a true legend."<br/> <br />During the event, the 70-year-old Franklin also performed "Chain of Fools," "I Came To Lift Him Up," and "Ombra Mai Fu."
