Poverty-stricken Mexicans in search of a better life are risking everything to cross illegally into the US.<br /><br />With security tightened on many sections of the border, would-be illegal immigrants are forced to cross over inhospitable and dangerous terrain.<br /><br />More than 1,600 people have died in harsh desert areas in the last eight years. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Franc Contreras reports from Arizona.
