Kyrgyzstan's president speaks to Al Jazeera

Unrest between Kyrgyz and ethnic Uzbeks in Kyrgyzstan, now into its sixth day, is being watched closely around the world.<br /><br />The official death toll of the violence stands at 170, while several humanitarian organisations put the toll at more than 1,000.<br /><br />Roza Otunbayeva, the country's interim president, has told Al Jazeera that the death toll could be up to 700.<br /><br />The United Nations has said that about 100,000 people are trying to flee the unrest.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Clayton Swisher sat down with Otunbayeva for an exlusive interview in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan's capital.
