Police in the Philippines are coming under intense scrutiny after a hostage drama ended in bloodshed. <br /><br />Rolando Mendoza, a former police inspector, hijacked a bus full of tourists from Hong Kong, in a desperate bid to get his job back.<br /><br />Eleven hours later, police stormed the bus - but eight of the tourists died.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports
