U.S. forces say the Navy's newest anti-missle interceptor passed its most recent test with flying colors.<br/> <br />The Missile-3 inteceptor, which is designed to protect allies from attacks from countries like Iran or North Korea, successfully downed a test missile near Hawaii on Wednesday.<br/> <br />This is good news for Raytheon, the manufacturer of the interceptor, who struggled with delays after the Missle-3 failed its first test last September.<br/> <br />According to the pentagon, the short-range ballistic target missile was launched from the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Hawaii.<br/> <br />The advanced interceptor is key to the next phase of an anti-missile shield being built by the United States in and around Europe.<br/> <br />Deborah Gembara, Reuters.
