Former Russian spy Anna Chapman has joined the political ranks by becoming part of the youth wing of prime minister Vladimir Putin's party.<br /><br />Her debut resembled something of a rock concert and her message was fit for a beauty contest.<br /><br />Chapman and nine others were discovered as Russian spys in the United States this Summer, in what was the biggest spy scandal between the two countries since the cold war.<br /><br />But whereas her colleagues have preferred to stay out of the limelight, Miss Chapman has revelled in the fame.<br />And now part of the Young Guard's public council some believe it is the first step in what she'd like to be a serious political career.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Stefanie Dekker reports.
