Al Jazeera is getting reports of renewed gunfire and more military reinforcements pouring into Syria's southern city of Deraa.<br /><br />It comes just a day after 50 people were killed across the country in Friday's crackdown on anti-government protesters. <br /><br />Syria's leadership is now facing tough sanctions - the US calling their actions "deplorable".<br /><br />The people of Deraa, on the country's southern border with Jordan have been under military lockdown since Monday.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rula Amin has this update from the capital Damascus.
