Two car bombs exploded minutes apart in nearby neighbourhoods of Damascus, killing at least 27 people and wounding nearly 100 more, according to state media. <br /><br />The blasts targeted buildings belonging to the customs police and air force intelligence. The latter is located in Al Qassaa, a predominantly Christian neighbourhood, and opposition activists said the government may have planned the bombing to provoke the Christians against the uprising.<br /><br />Residents told Syrian state television that they blamed the Saudis, Qataris and Americans for supporting terrorism in their country.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Nisreen El-Shamayleh reports.
