The Syrian opposition has rejected the government's latest demand.<br /><br />Damascus wants "written guarantees" the opposition fighters will stop fighting. <br /><br />The opposition fighters say they will not do that, but they will give the guarantees to the international community. <br /><br />This all threatens a planned ceasefire brokered by the peace envoy Kofi Annan. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Scott Heidler reports.
