poetry: Kostas Karyotakis/Κώστας Καρυωτάκης <br />music and voice: Lucas Thanos/Λουκας Θανος <br /><br />Almond tree <br /><br />And I still couldn't understand <br />how can die a woman <br />that is loved. <br /><br />It has sprouted in my garden an almond tree <br />and thus it's tender that it barely breaths; <br />but each day, each dawn withers it <br />and it won't give me the pleasure of its flower. <br /><br />And alas!
