Seeking safety in the Nuba mountains in Sudan.<br/> <br />The bitter war between Sudan and South Sudan is taking a heavy toll on the Sudanese, as civilians flee to rocky hills seeking shelter from the bombing.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Nuba) WOMAN WHO HAD HER LEG BLOWN OFF BY BOMB FROM A SUDANESE WARPLANE NAFISA JUAD, SAYING:<br/> <br />"Because we fear the weapons, the fighter jets and helicopter gunships, we hid in the caves."<br/> <br />Local authorities say about 100,000 people are living in caves, scrambling to stay alive.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Nuba) WOMAN WHO HAD HER LEG BLOWN OFF BY BOMB FROM A SUDANESE WARPLANE NAFISA JUAD, SAYING:<br/> <br />"There is no food. This is what we eat, the seeds and leaves of trees."<br/> <br />On Wednesday South Sudan accused Sudan's armed forces of carrying out fresh bombing raids on border areas.
