ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION<br/> <br />Gunmen shot dead a top Afghan peace negotiator in the capital Kabul on Sunday (May 13), dealing a fresh blow to the country's attempts to negotiate a deal with Taliban insurgents, security sources said.<br/> <br />Maulvi Arsala Rahmani, seen here in file footage, was a former Taliban minister and one of the most senior members of Afghanistan's High Peace Council.<br/> <br />The council was set up by President Hamid Karzai two years ago to open negotiations with the insurgents.
