In 2004 five Bulgarian nurses were found guilty by a Libyan court of deliberately infecting hundreds of children at a Benghazi hospital with HIV.<br /><br />The nurses, who have always maintained their innocence, say they had been tortured into confessing.<br /><br />They spent years on death row before finally being freed and sent home in 2007. <br /><br />Sonia Gallego spoke with them.
