The Chinese communist party is celebrating its 90th anniversary. <br /><br />Under its founder Mao Zedong, policies like the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward resulted in the deaths of millions of people.<br /><br />Nonetheless, Mao is still revered, and his home town has become a major tourist attraction.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Melissa Chan reports from Hunan Province in China.
