Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak has appeared in a Cairo court and denied charges of murder and corruption.<br /><br />State prosecutor Mustafa Suleiman accused Mubarak of having the "intention to kill" peaceful protesters during Egypt's revolution. About 850 people died and thousands were injured during the unrest.<br /><br />Tarek Osman, the author of "Egypt on the Brink - From Nasser to Mubarak", told Al Jazeera about the major factors that will come in to play with Mubarak out of power.
