Support for Australia's Labor government is at a record low, according to a new poll, and the party is under fire from some for controversial gambling reform proposals.<br /><br />But plans to impose restrictions on gambling with slot machines, known as 'pokies', are mostly the work of a lone independent MP, Andrew Wilkie, on whose support the survival of Julia Gillard's government depends.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Andrew Thomas reports from Sydney.
