When it comes to farming its own food, Britain has gone from being 85 per cent self sufficient to nearly seventy per cent in the last ten years.<br /><br />Now many people are calling for investment and more intensive methods at a time when Britain is producing less of the food it consumes than ever before.<br /><br />Harry Smith reports as part of Al Jazeera's series on global food security.
