A succession of powerful storms in recent weeks has destroyed more than $600 million worth of crops and infrastructure in the Philippines.<br /><br />With fishing boats beached and the seas high, 3,000 fishermen have been left high and dry since August.<br /><br />This, coupled with ruined crops, means the full economic impact of the recent weather has yet to be assessed.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports from Aparri in the northern Philippines.
