The 65th annual Cannes Film Festival has officially kicked off with a glamorous red carpet ceremony on Wednesday (May 16) featuring a bevy of starlets, the jury who will pick the winner of the coveted Palme D'Or at the end of the 12-day extravaganza, and Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton and other stars of "Moonrise Kingdom."<br/> <br />Thousands of journalists and movie executives are in the glamorous Riviera resort for nearly two weeks of hectic daily screenings, red carpets, parties and dealmaking.<br/> <br />Among the other stars on the carpet were Alec Baldwin and Jane Fonda, U.S. actress Eva Longoria and "Video Games" singer Lana Del Rey.<br/> <br />The Cannes Film Festival runs until May 27.<br/> <br />John Russell, Reuters.
