ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Cheryl Cole laid on the style in Cannes on Sunday (May 20) when walking the red carpet in a feathered dress. Cole, a former X Factor judge walked the red carpet despite pouring rain, stopping to pose for photographers before the premiere of Michael Haneke's movie "Amour" (Love) at the festival.<br/> <br />The white dress by designer Stephane Rolland had a train of red feathers and Cole needed an assistant to help her walk up the famous red steps to the Palais. Just before she appeared on the carpet, Cole tweeted: "About to walk the red carpet - it's raining!"<br/> <br />Twenty-eight-year-old Cole is only in Cannes briefly - she is due back in the UK for the premiere of "What To Expect When You're Expecting", in which she cameos as a talent show judge in the film which stars Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz.
