Barack Obama may have broken racial boundaries when he became the first black US president, but he has admitted that racism is still common.<br /><br />The US president made the comments in response to the arrest of a renowned black professor at his own home. <br /><br />Barack Obama said the officers who arrested Henry Louis Gates acted stupidly, adding that African-Americans and Latinos have been targeted disproportionately by police.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rob Reynolds reports.
