The Obama administration has said it will transfer nearly 100 prisoners from the detention centre at Guantanamo Bay to a prison in the US state of Illinois.<br /><br />In addition to holding detainees, the prison near Chicago, will be the site of military trials. <br /><br />The Obama administration says it will be the safest prison in the United States.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rosiland Jordan reports.
