Cars talk, a man is married to a monkey and Kylie Minogue contemplates suicide in easily the oddest movie in competition at the Cannes film festival, "Holy Motors."<br/> <br />At a press conferene, French director Leos Carax, refused to explain what the movie meant, but did say the film is not for the public.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Leos Carax, director, saying (English):<br/> <br />"I don't know who is the public. All I know, it's a bunch of people who will be dead very soon ... I don't make public films, I make private films, and I invite whoever wants to come and see it."<br/> <br />Australian pop singer Kylie Monogue admitted she was "slightly terrified" at the thought of appearing in the movie, but also very excited.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Kylie Minogue, actress, saying (English):<br/> <br />"I was more than excited and happy to venture into this strange experience."<br/> <br />"Holy Motors" will compete against 22 other films for the coveted Palme d'Or - the winner will be announced on May 27th.<br/> <br />Alicia Powell, Reuters.
