Indian authorities plan to make New Delhi completely slum-free as the city prepares to host the 2010 Commonwealth Games.<br /><br />It is the slum clearances that some people fear are at odds with one of the mission statements of the Commonwealth Games: "To develop sport for the benefit of the people".<br /><br />Residents in New Delhi's resettlement zones say they have been forced into even worse conditions, with few basic services and no jobs.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Prerna Suri reports from New Delhi.
