Abhisit Vejjajjiva, the Thai prime minister, has rejected an offer by anti-government demonstrators to leave their main protest site in Bangkok's main upmarket shopping district if he dissolves parliament and calls elections within 30 days.<br /><br />He told Al Jazeera'a Wayne Hay in the Thai capital that such a move was designed only to burnish the protesters' image and would "solve nothing".
