The Spix Macaw, native to Brazil, is one of the world's most endangered species, but it may well be on its way back from the brink of extinction.<br /><br />At the Al Wabra Wildlife Preservation Reserve in Qatar, conservationists have been able to help save this species, which was last seen in the wild 11 years ago.<br /><br />There are a total of 86 captive Spix Macaws in the world, and 55 of them live at Al Wabra.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Caitlina McGee reports from the reserve, in Qatar.
