Aid groups are appealing for more funding to cope with the crisis in Somalia.<br /><br />The International Committee of the Red Cross says it needs an additional $86m.<br /><br />With children are bearing the brunt of the crisis in Somalia, half a million children are on the brink of starvation. <br /><br />At least two of the famine zones are under the control of al-Shabab, an opposition group regarded by US security agencies as linked to al-Qaeda.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Peter Greste reports from the capital, Mogadishu, that the famine stricken Somalis do not just need food but rather, more nutrition.
