Hamid Karzai, the president of Afghanistan, has been out on the campaign trail in an area where the Taliban has a significant presence.<br /><br />Karzai has promised to bring an end to the violence in the country - along with improving infrastructure and education.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's James Bays has been travelling with the Afghan president during his election campaign.
