A series of bomb blasts has killed more than 50 people near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul and in Baghdad, the Iraqi capital.<br /><br />The attacks came less than 24 hours after workers began removing protective blast walls around the capital, under government orders.<br /><br />As Al Jazeera's Hoda Abdel Hamid reports, the bombings underscore the violence that still plagues the country following the pull back of US troops from Iraq's major cities in June.
