Palestinian factions have signed a unity deal which paves the way for legislative and presidential elections within a year.<br /><br />The agreement aims to end a four-year-old feud between rivals Fatah and Hamas.<br /><br />But Binyamin Netahnyahu, the Israeli prime minister, opposes the agreement and has asked Fatah leaders to abandon it. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Mohamed Vall reports from the Egyptian capital Cairo, where the deal was signed.
