Somali government forces, supported by peacekeepers from the African Union, say they are making gains in the battle for control of the capital, Mogadishu.<br /><br />The AU troops went in as peacekeepers but are now leading the offensive against the al-Qaeda affiliated al-Shabab. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Mohammed Adow has this exclusive report.
