Two gay activists have gone on trial in the Russian city of St Petersburg under a new law banning what authorities describe as "homosexual propaganda".<br /><br />Human rights groups say the new law is a major setback for human rights in Russia.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Charles Stratford reports from St Petersburg.
