Millions of people have gathered across Asia to witness the longest solar eclipse of the 21st century.<br /><br />Covering the sun for almost seven minutes, the eclipse plunged much of the region, from eastern India to China and beyond, into darkness.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Tony Cheng reports from Beijing.
