A thick haze blamed on Indonesian land-clearing fires has thickened to dangerous levels over Kuala Lumpur.<br /><br />The smog is said to have been caused by farmers using fires to clear their land for the planting season.<br /><br />Hospitals reported a rise in respiratory and eye ailments from the mix of dust, ash, sulphur dioxide and carbon dioxide.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports.
