The executions last month of two convicted drug traffickers has reopened debate about the death penalty in Thailand.<br /><br />They were the first executions in six years and marked the end of an unofficial moratorium.<br /><br />At Bangkok's Bang Kwang prison, more than 700 prisoners are on death row.<br /><br />Most Thai citizens favour executions, but the death penalty also makes many of the country's practising Buddhists uncomfortable, amid an attempt to reconcile capital punishment with Buddhist doctrines.<br /><br />Aela Callan reports from Bangkok.
