Large swathes of forest and farmland in Greece were destroyed by an enormous blaze on the edge of Athens, the capital, in August. <br /><br />Forest fires are a regular occurence in Greece, but in the run-up to next month's elections, politicans are promising to do more to prevent these disasters.<br /><br />But with the fires continuing to occur, Barnaby Phillips asks whether any lessons have been learnt.
