Rescue and health authorities in the Philippines are struggling to cope after two typhoons hit the country in September.<br /><br />Residents of the capital, Manila, are now faced with deadly waterborne diseases, as bacteria breeds in the stagnant floodwaters.<br /><br />Leptospirosis, a disease spread by rat urine, has killed around 100 people since the storms struck and it is believed 1.5 million people are at risk.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports from Manila.
