Thousands of sacked workers have taken to the streets of Mexico City to demand their jobs back.<br /><br />More than 40,000 employees were fired in October when the government closed a regional electricity firm. <br /><br />Some critics claim it was an attempt by Felipe Calderon, the Mexican president, to limit the workers unions. But he says the company was inefficient. <br /><br />Franc Contreras reports.
