In the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, calls for a separate state for people in the Telangana region have raised tensions in recent weeks.<br /><br />If a separate state is created, natural resources would have to be divided between Andhra and Telangana.<br /><br />Many farmers say their biggest worry is who will have control of water from the Krishna river, which runs through Telangana and other Andhra regions.<br /><br />The river is a vital source of sustenance for millions of people.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Sohail Rahman reports.<br /><br />[April 3, 2010]
