The village of Kormakitis in Turkish-held Northern Cyprus is home to a shrinking community of Maronite Christians.<br /><br />Only about 100 people remain in the village, and residents say that if Cyprus remains divided, the tiny community could simply disappear.<br /><br />They had hoped that Pope Benedict would address the issue of division during his three-day visit to the island, and that he would call for Turkish troops to pull out of other Maronite villages that have been turned into military bases.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Jacky Rowland reports from Northern Cyprus.
