Hundreds of villagers are struggling to cope with the aftermath of a deadly 6.0 magnitude earthquake that devastated numerous towns in northern Turkey.<br /><br />Residents have had to resort to makeshift tents and lost a great deal of livestock, which has been a severe blow to their livelihood.<br /><br />But authorities are assessing the scale of people's losses in an effort to help the earthquake survivors.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Barnaby Phillips reports from Elazig province in northern Turkey. <br /><br />[March 9, 2010]
