Thousands of Indonesians in the island of Sumatra have been out of work since an earthquake destroyed the island's infrastructure and industry.<br /><br />Residents are now criticising the government for the slow pace of rebuilding and rehabilitation of the local economy following the quake on 30 September.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay went to Padang city two months after the natural disaster to find a city "frozen in time" that has led some Sumatrans to despair.
