A Russian colonel serving in the reserves has been sentenced to 12 years for spying for the US. <br /><br />Vladimir Lazar has been found guilty of providing restricted topographical maps, smuggled through Belarus to an American agent. <br /><br />Lazar may be kept in a maximum security prison and stripped of his military rank.<br />http://www.euronews.net/
