After spending nearly 30 years behind bars, the Turkish man who shot Pope John Paul II in 1981 has been released from prison. <br /><br />Mehmet Ali Agca was pardoned 11 years ago in Italy and then extradited to Turkey to serve sentences for murder and armed robbery committed there.<br /><br />Anita McNaught reports.
